We’re really excited to be working with the Peterborough Learning Partnership as part of our ‘Seeing is Believing’ project – where we’ll be promoting our Peer Tutor programme.
On February 24th and 25th we’ll be working with Woodston Primary School and Nene Valley Primary School to train 20 Year 4 and 5 students as Peer Tutors.
At lunch on the second day of the programme, we’ll be giving schools in the Peterborough area the chance to ask questions about the Peer Tutoring programme and its impact on pupils; as well as its uses in staff development. This is a great opportunity for schools to get a taster of the programme and use our national manager’s wealth of knowledge to answer any questions they may have with regard to Peer Tutoring and UFA.
We’ll also be showing our ‘Peers’ film to those who attend. The short documentary shows the reality of peer tutoring. In the film pupils, staff and parents talk about Peer Tutoring after the two day training is complete.
If you would like to attend, please rsvp to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are unavailable to attend but would like more information on developing a Peer Tutoring Programme at your school or Lead Practitioner Training for your staff, please call 0121 766 8077 or email Jenni Fryer on the address above.
