  • NCS Team Leader

    We are looking for passionate individuals to lead a team of 16-17 year olds for our National Citizen Service programme during the summer. This is a fantastic chance to be part of an intensive programme which has positive and tangible outcomes for young people, whilst earning extra money during the summer.
    Team Leaders lead, inspire and develop their team of fifteen teenage participants through the NCS programme in a residential and non-residential setting. Team Leaders also support and lead the other staff allocated to their team (Team Assistant and Volunteers) to ensure the successful delivery of the NCS experience.

  • NCS Volunteers

    We recruit volunteers to support teams of sixteen and seventeen year olds through the NCS programme. We are looking for passionate individuals with either some experience working with groups of young people or looking to develop that experience.

    Volunteers will be positive role models for the young people and support them to be able to make the most of their NCS experience.  Volunteers will work alongside a Team Leader and a Team Assistant with a team of up to fifteen young people.  We are looking for volunteers who can commit to working with a team over some or all of the programme.

  • NCS Recruitment Assistant (Birmingham based)

    We are looking for a part time recruitment assistant to support the recruitment of young people onto our National Citizen Service programmes.

    The role involves following up expressions of interest in the NCS programme by telephone and taking  the young people through the sign up process, answering any queries, taking payment and helping them secure a place on the programme.

    The recruitment support team are a focal point of contact for the UFA’s NCS programme; all work will be over the telephone talking to young people/ parent’s about the programme; consequently you will need good communication skills, with a confident, professional and customer focused telephone manner.

    Days available to work – Monday – Thursday 4:30–8:30 plus occasional Saturday
    Zero hours contract
    £7.14 per hour

  • Learning and Support Tutor

    UFA is looking for motivated, passionate Maths and English tutors to inspire and develop students on a group or 1:1 basis in our Birmingham centre and in students’ homes.  Able to tutor students at 11+, KS3 or KS4.

    UFA is an educational charity committed to inspiring learning and leadership in young people and will be working in conjunction with Top Tutors Ltd to provide this programme.

    The tutor is there to be a positive role model, to coach and motivate a group of up to 5 students. Your role will require you to support, stretch and maximise the learning for all the students through a 6/7 week tutoring programme.

    We are very proud of our strong reputation and have high expectations of all of our tutors and firmly believe that tutors have a positive impact on young people.
